The House of Abraham
![]() The House of Abraham is a partnership project coordinated by Habitat for Humanity that celebrates the common heritage between the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths. Coming together for the common goal of building a home with a neighbor in need has proven to be a successful way for celebrating diversity while sharing a sense of unity. The House of Abraham is Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis' 300th home! It is often easier to focus on differences that divide us than it is to celebrate common ground. Because of the need for safe, affordable and decent housing in Central Indianapolis, all differences will be put aside to build the House of Abraham. In many communities, when Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths come together to build a Habitat for Humanity home, barriers are broken and gives way to laughter, and individuals find new respect for one another.
