Do you meet the preliminary guidelines to be considered for our Habitat Partner Family Program?
- You must either be currently employed, and have been continuously working for the past 2 years OR receive income to meet our income guidelines through other sources, example - SSI, child support, etc.
- Habitat does consider all on-going income coming into the household such as child support, SSI, government assistance, etc.
- You must currently rent your house or apartment and have a good rental history (no late rental payments within the last 12 months).
- You must currently have reasonably good credit (i.e. no outstanding collections or judgments – medical bills excluded).
Partner families are required to put in at least 300 work equity hours. These hours consist of homeownership education training and work on their home and the homes of other partner families.
Upon completion of the Build Project, Partner families will purchase their home through a no-interest mortgage.
NEED
Have lived in substandard, overcrowded or unsafe housing, paying excessive rent, not accessible to people with disabilities, or government subsidized housing. Do not own their own home and will be a first time homebuyer
RENTAL HISTORY:
At least 18 months to 2 years of good rental history in Indianapolis.
INCOME:
Either steady employment earning a limited income for 2 years, verifiable Social Security, SSI income, or other government assistance.

CREDIT:
Must not have any judgments and must have filing dates of bankruptcy discharges greater than 2 years.
WILLINGNESS TO PARTNER:
To complete the 300 hours of work-equity in homeownership education classes & home construction.
Upon completion of the Build Project, Partner families will purchase their home through a no-interest mortgage.

¿LE GUSTARIA ATENDER UNA REUNIÓN DE ORIENTACIÓN?

HISTORIA DE RENTA:
Al menos desde 18 meses hasta 2 años un buen historial de renta en Indianapolis.
INGRESOS:
Tener ingresos continuos limitados por dos años que pueden incluir ingresos verificables del Seguro Social, SSI, estampillas para alimentos e ingresos de manutencion de niños.
Promedio medio de ingresos para el Condado de Marion (Ver tabla de arriba)
CRÉDITO:
No debe tener ningun juicio y debe tener fechas archivadas de bancarrotas mayor de dos años.
INTERES DE ASOCIARSE:
