I’m a Christian, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I’m the youngest of seven siblings, six girls and one boy. My parents met and married in Gary, Indiana where I was born and raised. I graduated from West Side Senior High in 1985. In 1987 my son Joshua was born. We moved to Indianapolis when he was three years old. Joshua was an only child for fifteen years then my daughter Lorielle was born. My children have a wonderful relationship to be so far apart in age. Lorielle is in the second grade. She is an honor roll student (since pre-k) and enjoys reading, swimming, and talking. Joshua works full time and goes to college part time. He enjoys skateboarding and playing the guitar. My children and family are truly a blessing.

I have worked in health care over twenty years. Currently I’m a dialysis technician. I enjoy taking care of others. In 2005 my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I moved back to Gary to care for him until he died in June 2007. It’s very hard caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s. I was raised on strong family values. Whenever a family member is in need you should be there for them.

In my spare time I enjoy sewing, spending time with family, and traveling. I do feel blessed given this opportunity to build a home with Habitat for Humanity. After I move into my home I will go back to college to further my education.
