Hello, my name is Sylvia Virginia Gordon. I am twenty-eight years old. I have lived in Indianapolis all my life. I was born and raised by my mother. I grew up with four brothers, one deceased now, and I have two sisters.
I graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1999. We did not have a lot of money growing up. We moved a lot. I am glad that you guys are blessing me with a house so I will not have to move as much as I did when I was a child. It seemed like every time we got used to a school we would have to move and make more friends. I did not like moving all the time.
I am currently attending Ivy Tech State College seeking my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I work at Head Start where I have been teaching preschool for six years. I am a fun loving person to be around. I like having the children around and being there for them when I can. I like to help people. I am so happy that I am getting a house through Habitat. I am filled with joy. I just don’t know what to do. I am so amazed that of all the people you chose that I was chosen to be the one for a blessing.
