Hello, my name is Tiffany Lynn. I am 21 years old and a single mother of two beautiful boys ages one and two. I have struggled with many things in my life, but most importantly a stable home.
From the time I was six years old I have struggled with not having a stable home. My brothers and I were moved from foster home to foster home. Not knowing what our next move would be. We never had a chance to call a house a home. Basically felt like I had raised myself. Going through all these difficulties I was never given the love, care, or motivation in life to be a successful person. This led me to not be successful as I needed to be in high school.
Through a few years of wanting to give up on life and not caring about where my future might lead me, I faced one of my biggest challenges of all. My senior year of high school I was living on my own and found out I was pregnant. Being pregnant gave me a whole different view of life. I wanted my child to have the best so I did my best to keep my promise. I graduated high school with straight A’s and B’s. Also, I worked to support my family so they may have everything they need. Since having my second child it has set me back from achieving some of my goals such as going to college to pursue a career in Social Services. I don’t regret children at all. This only makes me strive harder to the field of success.
Lastly, by obtaining a Habitat home I feel like it would help me to be more successful, teach me more about life through taking classes, and also gain more responsibility. Most important it will give my children a chance of hope for the future, and stability I never had as a child. I am very blessed to be accepted by Habitat for Humanity and look forward to a better future for myself and my children.
