Hello my name is ShaDonna Crittenden. I was born September 6, 1988 to two wonderful, loving, and caring parents, LaDonna Freeman and Henry Crittenden Jr. I have two wonderful older sisters who I look up to, Dawn and Dominique Crittenden. They have made some excellent decisions in life and I would like to follow in some of their footsteps. I also have a younger brother, Henry Crittenden, who will graduate from Manual High School this year. I am currently living with my mother whom I pay rent to and help out with the bills. I am currently working as a receptionist for the Marion County Recorder’s Office which I enjoy. I am honored to be a selected recipient to own a Habitat Home in 2010. I am following the legacy that my mother and two older sisters have left behind, which is to become a Habitat Homeowner. On May 15th 2009, my whole life changed when I gave birth to an innocent 10lbs 11 oz baby boy named Dre’Shawn, whom did not make it. I have mothered one child, but to not see him grow up in a home that I will soon own by the blessings that the Habitat Program offers keeps my heart half full. I am only 21 years in age and have experienced some of the hardships that come later in life to others. I attended IUPUI in the past and plan on going back to school to better myself. I would like to start my own daycare within the next two years, because I love working with children. I miss my son and wish I could have given him the life that he should have had. This home will be in his memory and I will make the best of it. Home is where the heart is, especially his!
