I have one brother and one sister. We moved to Indiana in the year 2000. I have three children, Darryl who is 5, Damiana who is 4, and Latoria, who is 2. I graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 2001.
My childhood was pretty normal with all the struggles that a typical family goes through. My mom was a single mom who did the best that she could to raise us alone. I can remember her working hard and long hours to provide a stable home for us.
My goals in life now are to be a homeowner to provide a safe place for my children to grow up and their own backyard to play in. I want them to not fear being homeless or without the necessities in life. I want my children to know that I did everything I could to make sure they had what they needed. I don’t mind working hard and long to provide for them. I am a great person that has the desire to take care of my family and help out wherever I am needed in life. I would like to one day be in a place where I can open my own restaurant but first I would like to go to college to get a formal degree in business administration to be successful in obtaining my own business. I understand that it will take hard work and determination to be successful in life, work and being a good mother. I know with the support of my family and the power of God I can do it. I’ve always thought that my success and happiness depends on me and the choices I make in life. Each day I get up I hold my head high and know that I am the best person that I can be. With hard work and determination I know I can accomplish anything I do.
