My name is Nicole Webster, and I am 29 years of age. I am the youngest of three children and a single parent of two children. My son’s name is Brice and he is 4 ½ years of age, and my daughter’s name is Brynn and she is 3 ½ years of age. My childhood was good, and I grew up in the 30th & Orchard Ave. area. My mom passed when I was nine years of age, and I went to live with my aunt off of 33rd Central Ave. When I transitioned to my aunt’s residence, I went through a lot of verbal abuse in the residence. I graduated from Arlington High School in 1997. I have been through a few obstacles in my lifetime. In 2005, I lost my residence and had to stay in a shelter. I resided in a shelter for 2 months before moving into transitional housing. My case manager has helped me in writing down goals to achieve. One of my goals is to become a home owner. I think Habitat for Humanity will help and encourage me to achieve that goal of becoming a home owner. I also have some college education, but I am going to re-enroll in college to fulfill my other dream of receiving my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice to provide a better future for my children and I .
